Escher/Thuringian love. show of your rocks

This is my Barbers Delight...Who knows what those inclusions are? They do not interfere with the work, but still wonder what it is?

I’ve heard they’re plant matter that was trapped in the mud that eventually gets turned into slate over the course of millions of years.

so I did a little sanding to see what I got. Super chalky when the slurry dries. I want to say gray with a touch of green. It was glued together .seems like a good joint.just needs lapping. I only have a late black mottled Escher to compare. I really hope the $6 gamble is a winner. I've been searching for a score in the wild. Will return with questions after it's all cleaned and lapped.

Haven't had a barber's delight since 2017, looking forward to trying this one out. Got a massive tomo to go with it as well.

Check out this nice Thuringian the sticker was just put on the box for looks. But it does have some of the original label on it The Celebrated Water Hone. Incredible finisher I use it on my TI and have loved every edges that came off it.

"Look what I found"
Was looking for a stone I could not find so out they all came. Looks likes a good time to take a family portrait of a stone that loves to be rubbed by steel. Brings out the passion in all there users

I imagine there's a few knowledgeable members here on escher/Thuri. I was just curious if anyone knew what color my newest acquisition would be considered? My first labeled Thuri I found in the wild in a group of other goodies.

My only other stone is an unlabeled stone i found on a local sales site that the person said "it was my grandfathers, and he used to be a cabinet maker." He also sold me a washita. This grandfathers hone may be siblings to this one, though wasn't lucky enough to have a label attached. It is the stone in the background of these two.

Thank you Gents. After all this, I did not find what I was looking for. I remembered it is at my shop waiting for its box to be built

Wow. Eschers, Droeschers, Hohenzollern. Boxes. Impressive collection.

The boxes on the left were made by me to give them a good home. I was also were missing some rub stones, but some help from the Thuri Master Peter @hatzicho solved that problem

This is a pictured I lifted to show colors. Dark blue to the left, blue green, light green and yellow green on the right. Yours looks to be in the middle

with your experience with multiple stones, do you notice a remarkable difference in feedback between them? The first (larger DB) Thuri type that i have is smooth as silk, but the new one i acquired has a remarkable amount of feedback in comparison.
