Just tried the metal tube cream this morning & really liked it. Clean, soapy smell & slick. Doesn't get much mention around here.

I have an Erasmic soap stick and I love the scent. Pure old-time shaving. It was the very first soap I used last December but I was a DE rookie and I didn't lather it properly.
I shall return to it soon! I wonder does the tube smell the same as the stick? I want the tube now that you mentioned it!
Owned it, used it twice, and decided it really was not for me.
There have been three versions of the Erasmic stick in the past couple of years, the original version worked OK but the middle and new versions are almost impossible to lather. I don't know how you started out lathering but that may not have been the problem here.
Glad it works for you! I tried it once and got a really weak, sloppy lather from it.
The version in the plastic tube was around for less than 6 months and was rubbish. You will only find it on the market stalls and the cheap shops now.
They changed the one in the card tube about 18 months ago for a cheaper formulation. Fortunately they have reverted back to the original tallow formulation now.
Erasmic is the mainstay shaving stick found in most UK pharmacies and drugstores (except Boots which has their own brand). Supermarkets tend to stock mainly Palmolive.

Hey guys... the OP was refering to the Erasmic cream, not the soap!
For me, the cream works way better than the soap.

I'm a shower shaving hand-latherer, maybe it's not so good with a brush?
Not the one I was referring to - the one I meant was in a plastic holder like a stick deodorant but wasn't on the market for long or in general circulation. The bowl is available locally to me but also useless IMO. Doesn't lather and no slickness. Totally different to soap formulation in the OP's photo.
The OP was referring to the cream, in a metal tube, not the soap.
I like this version. However, Erasmic has started packaging their creams in a plastic tube with a large plastic cap. The ingredients list (info from another thread) is different but both versions are reportedly lathering up just fine. I bought the metal tube from Connaught about two months ago but I would guess they have re-stocked by now with the new version.
