Enchante Aromatic Tonics?

Good morning gents. As I get closer to my annual October buyathon I am rounding up suggestions for products a bit more off the beaten path. This year I have singled out some brands that are not exactly the most common on the shaving forums. The first additions are I Coloniali and Atkinsons. The former's shave soap get excellent reviews but we hear very little about the rhubarb a/s or the skin conditioner. And while certainly many know of Atkinsons grand old English Lavender water they also have some shave creams and a/s splashes I am investigating.

Which brings us to Enchante. While I have not engaged in Method Shaving as such I have kept a weather eye on the reviews of their products. The a/s balm gets almost universal praise as one of the very best. Another item of theirs that has developed into a rather full line of scents is what they call Aromatic Tonics. Here is a link to the page that lists them but I haven't dug deep enough into the site to ascertain what they are. I am pretty sure at their core they are hydrosols which are one of my favourite a/s treatments. Two that caught my attention were Frankincense/orange and Bergamot. Have you ever used these? Comments?

Cheers, Todd

The tonics are simply purified water and essential oil blends. They should be used with the conditioner to help it absorb. I wouldn't use it by itself as it probably doesn't do much. I've never used the two you mention, but have used others. They smell wonderful.

Thank you. Sounds as if some further investigation may be needed. Who knows? Maybe a good idea to buy the a/s conditioner *** well.

Cheers, Todd

I personally skip the hydrosol and go straight for the conditioner on a mildly wet face. If you must use a hydrosol there is some rose water on e bay for cheaper. The scent of the hydrosol is fleeting and the effect just doesn't do much for me considering the price. YMMV
