EJ Sandalwood, anything less scented?

I got some samples of the Sandalwood and phew, the scent is really strong. I don't think I can stand this on my BF. Is there anything that is from other lines that maybe isn't so intense? I was thinking of eshave Almond or GT Coconut.

Are they as strong smelling as the EJ or natural smelling? The EJ definitely has some fragrance oil as opposed to EO in it.

Don't know about eshave almond but most almond scented creams smell like maraschino cherries.

GFT coconut smells like coconut candy.

Keep in mind creams may smell less potent once lathered in a bowl or shaving mug. Most shave creams are also made with fragrance oils. EO scented creams exist but are less common.

Also, there are some unscented creams on the market if strong smells bother your nose.

I have the AOS Sandalwood cream. Nice and subtle.

The EJ soaps are quite a bit less scented than their creams. I would definitely suggest both of their other fragrances. Otherwise, for more lightly scented soaps you can go with Mama Bears EO line, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Trumper's Coconut, Cella... As for creams you can try CO Bigelow, Nancy Boy Replenishing, or any unscented product...

Vintage Blades makes great creams that are lightly scented. I have the Lavender and Rose, but recently got a bowl of Vintage Blades Sandalwood cream. Before I used it, I gave it to my daughter's fiance (a TOBS fan) to try. Told him if he liked it, he could keep it. My daughter said he liked it and it looks like I'll have to order another for myself.

and my favorite sandalwood creams are TOBS and Cyril Salter, with the TOBS being more subtle. I haven't tried the EJ sandalwood, though, so I can't compare.

I have also tried the GFT sandalwood cream and it was a little too intense for me - it had an odd, almost tobacco smell. I'd describe it as sandalwood cream in a dirty ashtray. Others might have a different opinion.
