Without using the same blade it would seem to me any results you note would be meaningless for comparison. I'm not sure what you are trying to prove.

You are comparing two excellent razors that have totally different designs and loaded with different blades. I've read your post twice but I still am not sure what you are trying to compare, to prove, or to demonstrate. Or have I missed something?

Maybe 1X with Fatboy/Astra and 1X with Fatboy/Feather. Then, 1X with EJ/Astra and 1X with EJ/Feather. Log all notes of each combination, apply a (admittedly arbitrary) numerical score, tally, then...................

I have both razors and I have a tough time shaving with the Fatboy. Not close enough, and I have used the settings from 3 to 7.
I think the problem is that I have a tough time getting the proper angle to my face with the Fatboy. There is a larger curvature

to the Fatboy than any of my other razors. I get a great shave, very close, with the 89 and also with a slim Adj.
I'm going to sell the Fatboy.

Tried to even things up in part two but, originally the premise was to set each one up individually for thier individual best. Mainly because they are both excellent and different razors. More like (early) F1 than nascar.
