Edwin Jagger 89L

I received my Edwin Jagger 89L yesterday. This is my second DE razor along with my recently acquired Merkur 38C. The EJ is a real beautiful razor and the chrome finish is exceptional. There are no flaws that I can see anywhere. The presentation is also very nicely done. I tried it out this morning and it shaves as good as it looks. I had read all the reviews on this razor before purchasing it and they were all correct.

I received my EJ87 yesterday and had my first shave today with it and it is a truly wonderful razor.

Solid choice; I love my Chatsworth w/ Feathers; nice combo!

YMMV and all, but if haven't tried them and the Feathers start feeling a little harsh, you might want to give Iridiums a try with your Chatsworth.

Maybe balance issues or something make it different with a Chatsworth, but IME, Iridiums feel even better than Feathers in my DE89L.

Yup, my second razor and it was love at first shave for me. I just love everything about it...the weight and the feel of it are just perfect for me.

Someday I'm going to have to pull my beautiful Merkur Slant Bar out of the box, but I just can't seem to do it yet! It would be like cheating! :001_rolle

It is on the top of my list. All I have are used razors. I will get around to adding a brand new one I am sure. I am still on the fence about the model though.
Happy shaving!

I received mine last week and I´m very satisfied with it. I have the regular one, without the lines. Took me a while to find out it wasn´t the knob I had to unscrew for loosening the head (like the Merkurs), but the head itself, LOL! (duh!):001_rolle

Got my 89L on Wednesday. It's my third razor purchase in my first month of DE shaving, the first two being a Merkur 33C and a '48-50 SS. After my first shave with the EJ, I can safely say it'll be my last razor purchase for a long, long time.

I won't waste server space repeating the voluminous praises found elsewhere on B&B; every positive thing said about the 89L around these parts is absolutely true. I do have slight issues with the lack of knurling on the handle; I have the lined model and it doesn't provide the same traction as the 33C or SS. Once I settle on a handle from Bob, I'll be good to go, though. Just have to join the fan club!
