For Father's Day I ordered a gift box from eBarbershop, and am very glad I did. Not only will my dad love it, so do I.
I had checked out some free eBarbershop samples a few months ago, seeking some of the barbershop fragrances of my youth: Clubman Pinaud, Lilac Vegetal, Old Spice, English Leather, etc. eBarbershop both carries classic brands and after-shaves as well as excellent "hommages" to them, sometimes with very nice tweaks, and in quality glass bottles.
I decided to pick up one of their Gift Boxes, including a bottle of Classic Bay Rum Old-Time After-Shave, Bold Spice Cologne Limited Edition, and Pre-Shave Gel For All Skin Types. I made sure to order it so that it arrived in time for me to test it out before giving it to my dad this Father's Day. Excellent move.
Bold Spice Cologne is a refreshing citrus blast from the past. My father and grandfather used to wear Old Spice, and this instantly brought me back. Fresh and refreshing, it has a nice intensity going on, leaving a long, low, cool scent which endures through the day. It comes in an attractive glass cologne bottle, with golden metal top and spray pump (I see online, it's also available in a splash top) -- a big step up from the plastic bottles they're selling Old Spice in currently.
