Eau Sauvage cologne

I have been using this cologne for several years and last month decided it was time for a change. I looked and tried and finally decided to go with DG pour homme.
After using this cologne for several weeks, I realised how good es:thumbup: is and switched back.
For those looking for a great cologne that starts out as a citrus scent and after several hours turns into a woody fragrance look no further. The best thing is that it does not enter the room before you do.
In addition, both the after shave baume and the after shave lotion of ES are great products as well

Regards

I have wanted to try this classic scent. I'm sure it is just a matter of time.... A quick trip to Sephora or Nordstrom might be in order soon. Hard to dismiss this fragrance as it has a history of quality reviews by those like yourself that swear by it.

Love Eau Sauvage, it has that great democratic, legible smell that fits with everything, all the time.

Eau Sauvage's hidden secret: when it's dry on your skin, and you barely smell it anymore, just a little bit of water (or sweat) will bring it back to life.

Eau Sauvage is my favorite lemony citrus scent. Even as it transforms into its woody base there's still a bit of the lemony citrus lingering.

I agree, Randy. ES is one of the few citrus opening scents I love and the dry down makes it that much more interesting and wonderful.

I like it a lot too. It is my goto frag when I don't use the Pen's.
I completely disregard all the common designer frags.

But if you like Eau Sauvage then you should also try Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Quir.
You do recognise immediately it is related but this one does have a leather scent which makes it more suitable during fall or bad weather days.

Thanks for the advice I will have to try fraicheur cuir but the original is hard to beat in its simplicity and how it evolves during the day

Two thumbs up for the Eau Sauvage and the ES Fraicheur Quir. I have used both of them. The ES original especially has an excellent lasting power on me. Lasts almost 8 hours in a hot humid climate like Bombay. :)

I have a 200 ml Eau de Sauvage - a gift from work. Unfortunately like my large AdP, it is a splash rather than a spray so I tend not to use it much for fear of spilling gallons (like I do with my drugstore aftershaves).I have tried dabbing my finger, but then the longevity isn't that great. If I had the spray it definitely be in my top three  .

Decant it into a small sprayer. It works well. I had a large flacon of Creed sometime ago and did this.

FINALLY!!!!! I had hoped for this under the Christmas Tree but the Blonde Nurse was nabbed by a cute Neiman's countergirl and a vile vial of Jo Malone Unisex and a Billy Jealousey something or other beard prep crap was a Christmas package for me instead.

Returned Neiman "gifts" tonight with her blessings and we went down the way to Sephora and picked up the Dior!!!!!

Smells like....... Victory...

Hiya,

As a result of good luck a while back, I was fortunate enough to run into a full bottle of this juice during an estate sale walk through. I'd read about the stuff, but hadn't sniffed it till then. Turned out to be quite a keeper. No idea of how old this bottle is.

This fragrance sorta reminds me of old Hermes 'Eau de Cologne', who's name was later changed to something else.

I'd even go so far as to call ES a classic. Many years ago I knew a woman who told me she did "crazy things" when she smelled ES on a man. She wasn't kidding. I still use it regularly.
