Dunhill Tobacco Rumor

Has anyone else heard the rumor that CAO will start distributing 12 of the Orlik blended Dunhill blends, and that they should be in the US mid-August? This seams to be the real deal as there is one person who is already taking pre orders. The supposed blends will be

Standard Mixture
Early Morning Pipe
My Mixture 965
Nightcap
London Mixture
Standard Mixture Medium
Three Year Mature Virginia
Stardard Mixture Mild

I've Just gotten of the phone with a preferred Pipe and tobacco retailer. They told me that they haven't heard anything official. When I asked if it was merely a rumor, the responded that it likely hasn't been publicly released yet. They repeated the mid August time-line, but also repeated that isn't anything they have confirmed. They asked if I was a subscriber to their newsletter I told them that I was, and they told me to keep an eye out for any info in the next few weeks.

Madonna A. Archer Director of HR and Customer Relations at CAO International has confirmed that CAO was given the SKU of the Dunhill products that will be involved.

She said that distribution will begin this fall. If this works out, this is the first chance that I will have to sample these blends. Wheather or not the Orlick blends taste the same or not is of no consideration to me, I since I have not sampled the Murray Blends, but I am looking forward to trying EMP, Night Cap, and Royal Yacht.

+1. I can say that Royal Yacht is wonderful. I have a tin of it from the Murray years that I was generously given.

I smoked a 5 year Dunhill tobacco and it was nice and smooth. Hopefully, I can try one again soon.

That's great news! Royal Yacht is one of my favorites, and I have been having trouble finding it even online recently.

I am looking forward to trying EMP, Night Cap, and Royal Yacht.

Having tried both the EMP and Royal Yacht I'm looking forward to them being available again (I'm not sure if my palate would detect the difference between Orlik and Murray blends).

Whilst we're waiting...are there any similar blends available?

For those who can't wait, there are often Dunhill blends on eBay. Of course you're only buying the "collectable, unopened package". Not the contents.

That's how I got my EMP and Nightcap...... collectable tins.

Popped in to my local B&M today (The Pipe Shop in Leith).

He confirmed they are getting Dunhill in next month....but a very limited range (he couldn't find the letter listing them) which doesn't include EMP or Royal Yacht

Update:

Iwan Ries & Co. will have certain Dunhill blends available in the next month or so. These include Early Morning Pipe, Nightcap, 965, London Mixture, Royal Yacht, etc.

They are taking pre-orders now. First come, first served.
