Dunhill for men 1934 scent = covered with dust?

Greetings.
I bought Dunhill for men 1934 from ebay weeks ago, and my younger sister(high school student) thinks it reminds her of something covered with dust, not fresh. I don't think she is referring the dunhill as old people's smell but she said this scent seems old. She asked me to not use the scent, and I responded "I'm finding a scent that is not attractive nor negative". I think she agrees about my response at least partially because she didn't refute my statement, but I do not know the reason why my sister imagined of covered dust. She is quite sensitive at sniffing things, and I'm rather dull. So I'm curious about this scent could be regarded as dusty to some people, or the shelf life of this scent ended.

I have four assumptions on this matter. Which one seems to be the most probable one?
1) I bought old bottle and its chemistry gone slightly differ from the original one so she made the comment 'this scent seems old', although my bottle was packaged and I feel no problem about the scent.
2) She do not appreciate leather note.
3) I have shower 2~3/week and that's the problem here.:001_rolle
4) Dunhill resembles dust to some people.

Well, I can see my first post seems rather pointless because what I questioned is difficult to answer with secondhand descriptions. So I would change the question to this; is anyone noticed Dunhill for men have some dusty feeling?
