To anyone lucky enough to have or have used both, which do you prefer? I've been a Shavemac guy for some time and I'm thinking of jumping over to a Simpson brush for awhile. The Duke 3 comes highly regarded but I've also heard some amazing things about the Eagle in Best that was custom made for some lucky people on this site. I know the Duke has an extra dense knot and a shorter loft so I'm curious for the people who have tried both, is there much of a difference between either knots?

I couldn't imagine needing anything shorter or more dense than the Eagle G3 in Best. It as a bit too much so for me, so I sold it and bought a Colonel X2L in Best.
I have both and are a big fan of them.
Both are dense and have lots of backbone.
No unnecessary softness also
I also like the loft, which is not too long, neither to short.
My Duke is in Pure and Pre Vulfix.
So that one is a bit more firm, a bit more scritchy.
The Eagle in Best is more silvertippish, but not soft.
Just a more luxurious feel to it.
