Duke 3 and Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle

Hi,

I just ordered a one piece brush scuttle from Dirty Bird. I was wondering if the duke 3 (or the simpson classic 2) would fit inside. I'm thinking about getting one of those two brushes next. Right now I have a shavemac 25 21mm and I know it should fit perfectly in the scuttle. I've read that the scuttle can't hold larger brushes and I would like to make sure before I order something.

I am not sure what you mean by fitting, but I have a Simpson Polo 8, which is huge, and it works well with my DB scuttle.

Someone said that their shavemac 177 23mm was a tight fit inside the scuttle when loaded with lather.

Do you have the brush scuttle or regular scuttle?

if it's the Baby Bird (travel scuttle), then i believe the knot will be too big for that one.

that is a very small scuttle and the opening for the brush is not very big.

i had one and sold it. if it's the brush scuttle you are referring to, but that's 2 pc, that that one is fine.

i actually don't see the 1 pc travel scuttle on her site any longer. do you have a link to the one you purchased?

I have the original and the 1.5 scuttle, as well as the brush scuttle. The Polo 8 works fine with all of them.

I can tell you that I have used brushes up to 28mm in it with no issues.
Appreciate the comments about the scuttle. I don't think it can be improved. I wouldn't change a thing and I use it every day.

Thanks for everyone's help. I purchased the Duke a couple weeks ago on the BST and the Dirty Bird came yesterday. The Berry Rim looks like it ran a lot during the glaze but I like it.

looks wonderful. as for the glaze, that's 100% normal. they all look like that, i have a couple of the same glaze, they all have the dripping effect and all are 100% original.

I like the way they look but I wouldn't use it. I've got a G5 my wife gave me that I haven't used in 2 years since I began face lathering.
