Dubl Duck Aluminium - how to disassemble

I have a nice aluminum dubl duck shaving brush that I want to restore - unfortunately the handle has a few dings that I was hoping I could panel beat out.

It seems that the part of the brush that holds the knot may come apart from the rest of the handle - has anyone taken one of these apart i.e. know if this can be done ?

Don't have any idea on the dents or taking it apart but it should turn out amazing. Why don't you PM that guy and ask him since he has restored one before.
