Oscillating between Dsquared2 rocky mountain wood and potion. This will be a blind buy.
Prefer more woody scent.

Dsquared2 Rocky mountain wood vs Potion

Personally bud, I wouldn't go with either. Unless you've already made up your mind that its going to be one of these and in that case I would go with Rocky Mountain Wood, as I believe its definitely more woody. I have only read about Potion though. I was actually very much considering picking it up but after lots of time looking over reviews I decided against it. Overall it had many more negative reviews than positive. But the big deal breaker for we was the extremely poor longevity reported on it. I do however have a bottle of Rocky Mountain Wood and let me just say that I don't go for it very often. Its not that its bad. Its actually a very nice smelling fragrance. Very heavy in violet, vetiver, musk and cedar. Longevity and sillage are both above average. My problem with RMW is... I'm trying to think of the right way to word this...I guess the quality of the ingredients. As good as it is, it just smells cheap. Without knowing about it if I had done a blind "smell test" on RMW I would've probably guessed that it was either a shower gel or new type of Axe body spray. Wouldn't have guessed cologne though.
If you're open to look into other things I would very much recommend Gucci Pour Homme 1 or 2, L`Occitane Eau des Baux, Encre Noire or YSL L'Homme. Encre Noire is a made over and steroid injected Rocky Mountain Wood and although I havent tried Potion, I would think that GPH2 and EDB would be most similar. But I'm sure the much wiser than myself gentlemen will be chiming in before too long to correct or back me up lol. Good luck and happy hunting!
