Dry soap

I've noticed that one of my soaps in my rotation is trying to dry out, and i find if i don't regularly use it then it's perhaps not quite the same.

Do any of you have any suggestions, perhaps a dab of glycerin on the soap will help slow things down?

Which one is it, that's drying out? My MWF keeps looking like it's about to go to the great big soap-dish in the sky now that I'm regularly using Palmolive...but it still gives great lather and recovers nicely once I've soaked the top and given it a few swirls :thumbup1:

Throw a half ounce of water on it and walk away. It will be back to its old self forthwith.

Huxley,

Go to Sainsburys; they do these clip top Tupperware like containers, one of which is ideal for soaps (a MWF puck fits right in), and the larger one is great for storing straights :001_smile

Have fun !

Best regards

Russ

I have had soap dry and crack a bit. It has not affected the quality of the lather or rhe shave in any way. After I used it a couple of times , the cracks went away.

I use an Arko stick and I leave it out in the air with about an inch of the top unwrapped after each time I use it. The top dries out a bit and sometimes cracks but I find every time I use it is restores itself back to health and I've never had any problems with it *touch wood*.

(Tip: unwrap an inch of a new Arko stick and leave it out uncovered in two days the scent is pretty much totally gone).
