Dry Breach!

I have noticed that after my first pass, my lather suffers. After watching some Mantic videos, I have found that I have a dry breach. I do my best not to push down to hard when face lathering...apparantly this is the cause.

Any other ideas?

What soap or cream are you using? Different soaps and creams have different water requirements.

You may also want to try bowl lathering and see how that works out for you.

MWF and TABAC

I do not understand how water is expected to stay in the breach. If you splay the bristles on your face when face lathering, the water falls out of the breach. I mean...no wonder it is dry! Mantic says that is where the best mixing occurs. An odd dilemma.

A little bit after you begin the face lathering process, switch to using a "painting" motion instead of a "swirling" motion. In other words, using a swirling motion to begin with to get the lathering started and then switch to a painting motion to apply and even out the lather.

This may be the ticket. I "swirl" for much longer than I paint, effectively using up all the good stuff too early, leading to a dry breach.

Seems logical to me!

Can't wait to try it out.
