Does anyone know anything about this R. Defosse Garanti razor?

I picked this razor up from from a french Ebay seller for $30 because I thought the scales were pretty. I had Maggards hone it and it shaves wonderfully. No amount of googling right now can come up with anything though, do any of you know what "R. Defosse Garanti" is? Is it a person? A company? The scales are slightly warped, but they still fit center when closed, and it doesn't bother me at all. It shaves wonderfully.

I don't know anything about this brand of razor. I have, however, bought multiple razors from the same seller and each razor has been of high quality. I would do as Keith (@Gamma) suggested. I asked the seller once and he/she provided me with valuable information about the razor.

Nothing about the name, but it’s French, and the name is likely a shop name. Also likely a Thiers razor, ones from Nogent and Langres had a little different look to them.
