Hey gents,

While doing some research on a Kijiji haul that I picked up this morning, I stumbled across this razor that I had never seen or heard of during my DE adventure. It would definitely be an interesting find that could have some weird history.

Lots guys have them. They were originally sold in a lot of 6 with only one key. As a result custom keys were manufactured by talented members. They show up on eBay every now and again.

I have NOS one with a used original key. From what I can tell they were made in the US, England and Brasil. Mine is from Brasil.

I would love to have one. In 'NOS' condition I've seen them for around 100-200 dollars. I just can't afford it, as cool as it is.

I have 7 Techs, and as much as I'd like to have a "Psycho", I just can't bring myself to drop that much on another Tech. Maybe I'll find a box of them at an antique shop or dead people's stuff sale for $10-15 one of these days. Hey, a guy can dream, right?!

I'm starting to collect Techs and I'm with you...I'll have to trip over a psycho in order to get one...I've decided if I do find a box of them...I'll keep two and trade the rest to give others a chance without having to drop the cash.

I've seen a few complete sets of 10 go up on the bay. Definitely picking one up when I have the cash.

Nice! But you forgot to add pocket watches and mechanical wristwatches. I've been saying "dead people stuff sales" long enough that when my wife and I have my 5 year old grandson on Saturdays, he asks if we're going to go to any!

I think these were prison or jail razors, put the blade in and take the key out and you can't get the blade back out without the key.

It's funny that a lot of us are into the same sort of stuff, I have a drawer full or pocket watches in various states and around 6 mechanical wristwatches too. My Rolex Datejust (around 10 years old) being the favourite. Vintage Fountain Pens are growing in numbers, I've been collecting and using for many years.

It's possibly that a lot of us like vintage items - but practical ones. I've never seen the attraction of collecting old ornaments or porcelain plates that just sit on a shelf gathering dust. I like old things that are usable.

Yep. I saw one a week or so ago. Ten razors, one key.

That would be me! They're made in England, in original shipper box, all NOS with one key. I should have it in my hand in the next couple of days and I'll post pictures after I've taken delivery. Paid a pretty penny for it though!!
