I bought a rolls razor and it looks like it has never been used but it didnt come with a handle. How do they shave? Should I try to get a handle for it and give it a go?

I've been using a Rolls off and on for about five years, and find it rather enjoyable. It doesn't feel quite as smooth in use as a standard DE, but I can get a BBS without nicks or skin irritation. Just keep lathered up where you're shaving, and use short strokes with no pressing in on the skin. (I hesitate to say "no pressure", as you need to hold it firmly to the skin, like any razor).
Give it ten laps on the honing stone, then twenty on the strop, and fire it up. I think I'll use mine this morning!
UPDATE: It had been a while, and I am now spoiled by my DEs, so...shave felt rough-ish, and it takes more work than I recalled for a BBS, so while a Rolls can be an effective razor, it's more of a collector/occasional user. I still say get the handle and try it out.
