DMT Question

That's is something I have been questioning too, I have missed any interrupted surface chat previously although Rasurpur's website sells them and says it's fine for Razors, and better for lapping compared to uninterrupted?

Anyone with any experience it would be appreciated

I use the interupted surface EF (W6EP) to set bevels, and it works great. I have an uninterupted EE that I follow it with.

The EF is a really fast cutter. In the same way that people say the EE "cuts like a 4k, but finishes like an 8k," I would say it's relatively true for the EF as well. That being said, I think the F side wouldn't see much use.

For lapping the coarse DMT's (325) seem to be the best, but I have no experience with them.

They both 1200 grit.
what have been said by mainaman is true about the clogging.
In reality you will never use any plates for lapping purposes. they will get eat up very easy.
if you are looking for lapping purposes you will need to go for 220 grit dmt plate.
for sharpening purposes they will do the same job.
what happens is this.
At first you will need to break in then you will be able to use them.
Edge will come out approximate 1200-3000 grit level.
slowly it looses its diamonds.
Instead of this i would suggest better buy shapton 1k,Naniwa 1k, stone will be cheaper and will do the job. hope this helps

i use an Atoma 1200 for lapping the finishing stone i have, is way better than the dmt 1200 uninterrupted i also have

For i little more i would go with Atoma, is way way better

+1 ,
after I switched I got better slurry less sticktion, and the 1.2k Atoma can lap anything that is higher grit.

I just googled Atoma, but I can't find it.
Does anyone have a link to where it can purchased?

Thanks,
