My wife has given up trying to make good coffee out of my Ranchillio Silvia so I thought I might look at buying her a fully automatic coffee machine that does everything for you, even frothing the milk. After a bit of reading, the DeLonghi EAM3500 seems to fit the bill and reviews are quite positive. Does anyone here have any experience with one? I'd be interested in what people thought of them.

I don't have any experience with that machine however I have had machines that froth milk automatically and they never make the milk hot enough. You end up with a nice tasting but luke warm coffee.
I think couple of months back they were on clearance for 200 $ at starbucks.
Well - I have tried the Jura S9 - and F8. No matter what you spend - it will never get as good as semiautomatics.
