DE blades shelf life

I see packaging of 100 blades that are quite economical. I've never bought blades in such bulk thinking I'd be wasting money if shelf life isn't longer than the speed at which I'll use blades. Does anyone have a sense of how long unused blades can last while fully maintaining their shaving characteristics? Thx...

If you store them in a dry place they will outlast you. There are many here who have enough blades for many years of shaving at home. I just recently went over the 500 mark.

Don't store them in the bathroom and if you want to be sure, throw in a silica gel pack. Then it should not be any problems.

What John said.

One of my nicest NOS blades are Schick Platinums that are at least 30 years old.

But like the others said; keep them dry and you will be fine!

TY RichGen, talibeard...Update to all...I just ordered from eBay 500 Derby Extra (my everyday blade) for $49.98, and my wife donated an air-tight, plastic kitchen container for storage of inventory : -) Thx to all for your advice...Rgds and tight lines...
