Czech & Speake Oxford Soap for Birthday

Hey,
My dear, sweet mother sent me some Czech & Speake Oxford soap. Whadda lady! Two quick questions...
1. It seems a bit under powered on the scent. Very nice, but doesn't fill the bathroom w/ scent the way some other soaps do. Is this usual or do soaps lose their scent over time and maybe I got an elder puck?
2. If I want to extend the life of the scent do I cover the soap in the dish or leave it exposed to the air? I'm using Pyrex bowls w/ covers I purchased a Walmart.

The quality of the soap is top-shelf in my opinion. Had a great open comb shave (my third) and either the soap really helped or my technique is improving... or both.

C&S soaps have wonderful, but understated scents. If you're used to QED, Queen Charlotte, SCS, etc, they have far more intense scents. If you put a lid on the bowl after the soap dries, you will preserve the scent.

I found the C&S Oxford to be the slickest of any of the soaps I tried. Really enjoy it. The scent is, as you say, understated, but you'll find that it grows on you after a while. I've given away several of my other less scented soaps, but this one stays.
