Excellent photo's of a beautiful razor, great work!

what did you use to polish?

I used TurtleWax rubbing compound with a Dremel felt wheel for the blade to remove most of the heavier staining, then buffing compounds on the Baldor 3600 RPM.
Maas and a rag for the Ivory.

Hey, man,

I really like your straight razor.

I have the same one, from my grand-grand-father, among a couple of other straight razors that are in the family.

I would like if you could give a couple if directions how to restore my straight razor, cause I want to make it usable so I can shave with it.

Here are the pics:

hey there,
that blade is in excellent shape, and should need no sanding based on the pics. I would recommend trying some MAAS metal polish. It should bring the razor out to a nice shine with a bit of elbow grease. For the scales, clean the ivory with a warm water and liquid dish soap with a toothbrush. Then polish with MAAS also.
