custom Gillette Traveler set

Here's a very unusual set, from sometime (likely) in the late 1940s. The head is of obvious origin, but I've never seen it assembled like this. Possibly made by the same company who helped Gillette with the Folda-Brush set, see this thread. The handle for the razor is hollow, possibly to hold after shave. It also holds the toothbrush. The other cylinder is likely for either shaving cream or toothpaste. Pretty handy set.

Anyone else have one of these cool sets/

Remarkable! Not quite as cool as the folda-brush set, but nonetheless amazingly cool.

So, where did the owner find a product that could be used as both shave cream and toothpaste?
Once the product was obtained, how did he get it into that tiny tube? Finally, how did he get it out?

It was a choice -- either they would add toothpaste to the cylinder or shaving cream, the idea is that the thick cream could be added by unscrewing the end and there is a small plunger end piece that can be used to push the cream or paste up through the end. But it may have been more an idea than a real useable system. At least this model was never used.

Treasure boxes?! That's cool Achim. You have boxes you've never even opened with awesome Gillette shaving gear that many of us can only imagine. And there they are, sitting in not-yet-opened boxes in your house. That's awesome! Thanks for posting the instruction sheet. Excellent.

Truly they appear now & then. That's how we found ours. But not really common I don't think. Nonetheless, very cool.
