Cremo Shave Cream

I can't seem to find a review of this shave cream. Can I get some input positive or negative. I read a lot of advertising but thats always slanted.

Corey Greenberg did a number of write-ups a few years back on Shaveblog, which is where many of us heard of the cream for the first time. The second post down on the page is the first of them, but if you follow the blog for another page or so, you'll see he wrote follow-ups. If it helps any, he posts in reverse chronological order - the newer posts are at the top of the page, the newer pages to the left; for some reason, he removed all the dates on his posts, so it can be a bit hard to track if you're not familiar with his format. If I recall, his Cremo posts were back in '05.

Again thanks for the info. I just ordered some online from CVS. The positives outweighed the negatives by a wide margin. And 160 gr is a nice size tube.

Let us know how it works for you. That is an interesting cream, and I have been interested in trying it out myself.

As soon as it arrives I will try it and let you know. I have heard only positive feedback. Its suppose to be brushless but guys all think it works better with a brush.

A couple friends of mine prefer to use it brushless but I find I get better results myself when I use a brush. I don't get a tremendous amount of lather out of it but I end up with a mixture that is very, very slick and provides a comfortable shave.

I dont really like it. The smell is very artificial and chemically, and the cushion is non existent. Its probably the least smooth cream I have, even with all the mention of 'super slipperiness' in the description. When I bought it i was totally behind the idea of a modern performer, but was left thoroughly disappointed. I do like the shower mirror that came with it though!

Interesting, I would never have considered to use it with a brush, as it is very gunky. The biggest complaint I have with the product is that you must rinse the razor underneath the faucet to get enough water pressure. Simply filling up the sink and swishing the razor between strokes does not work. Otherwise I find it very slick and cushioning, giving a good shave but nothing spectacular.

I've got it and though I don't use brushless shave creams often, it is my favorite of the lot and reasonably priced. Many times I will use it for a final pass or clean up on a tough area. It's very slick....has a great scent to my nose....but yes, it will gunk up the razor a bit. Compared to the many brushless creams on the market, this one seems to be heads above and gives lots of protection.
