Creams under $10

I use soaps except when I travel I take a small container of Kiss My Face for shaving. I really like soaps but am thinking about getting a tube of cream for home. I want to keep it under $10. I've been considering Proraso(Omega/Bigelow), Old Spice(lime looks interesting), Musgo, and Palmolive(not sure about the Indian vs. the European version).

I'm not going to buy all of them so please keep your suggestions to your top 1 or 2 picks and add any other suggestions. Please specify what it is you like about your suggestion.

I'd say spieck is about the best cream one can get for $6. Indian Palmolive is a nice performer, but the scent is a little false. Godej is also nice.

Out of those, Proraso/Omega are my favourites. The Menthol is very nice, specially in the summer. Classic barbershop scent.

Palmolive Euro would be my second pick. No menthol, decent scent.

Musgo works wonders but I didn't like the scent.

The best $10 or less creams I've tried are Proraso, Speick, and Musgo.

I currently have both green and white Proraso and like the performance. Scent is secondary to me. Performance is primary.

I would recommend Speick or Musgo. Proraso smells like a pet store to me. If you have Amazon Prime you can get either one with free two-day shipping.

I have many creams under 10 dollars, one of my favorites is JM Frasers. Also Florena is very good, some say its similar to the Nivea you can get from Canada. Try JM Fraser you cannot go wrong with them.

You guys really having me considering Musgo and it wasn't even in my original list of considerations. I read so much about Palmolive and some of the others. I'll have to wait until I'm ready to put in a full order of products with one of the vendors to make the shipping worth it.

you may want to try "The Real Shaving CO." available at most Rite Aid stores. they have the balm also.. around 5 bucks, lathers quite well and the scent is similar to T & H 1805
Welcome to B&B!

It's in a tub and might be considered a soft soap, rather than a cream, but RazoRock from italianbarber.com is top notch. Would also consider Gordej in your price range, which comes in a tube. If Gordej had a more esoteric scent and came from some family-run 5th generation English co., it get a lot more props here than it does.

I know I'll run into some nay-sayers ... but I think you should take a look at Burt's Bees Shave Cream. Its around $8, you can find it in a lot of drugstores and supermarkets. More important, it smells good and shaves great. It doesn't lather, but its not supposed to. You can use it brushless, which is a boon when you travel.

I have two suggestions for creams under $10. The first is C.O. Bigelow, the smaller travel size for $5. The other is KMF for about $7. Both are excellent creams. Also KMF is offering there creams in tubes now. Can't recall the price at the moment.

I love Proraso, and I love me some Spieck. But even less expensive if you have access to a local Indian grocery, is Godrej. An outstanding performer and tremendous bang for the buck.

Bigelow is good stuff -- and has the added benefit that you can walk into a Bath & Body Works and buy it off the shelf -- if you're in the United States. Can't tell where the OP is.
