Creams in tubs and TOBS Eton

Recently got a tub of TOBS Eton, purchased online, and did a test lather (had already shaved!), and found it quite a mild scent, nice, though, and it does hang about for a while, but just wondering if it is naturally quite mild, or if my tub was hanging around storage for a bit.

Also, I wanted to ask about actually using a tub of cream, since, it is actually my first cream in a tub!! (and also my first TOBS product!), and I actually did the swirl method, 5 or 6 (or so...:001_unsur) swirls, and it seemed to make masses of cream, and I was wondering whether it was a 'swirl too much' or if actually scooping is a better method... or if it was the wonder of TOBS that made so much...

TTFN.

I'm a I big fan of TOBS eton. As far as fragrance goes, mine is pretty strong. It's not overwhelming, but it makes its presence known. I wouldn't call it a mildly scented or light scented cream, usually TOBS puts plenty of fragrance in their creams from my experience.

As to loading the product, the best way to load TOBS IMHO is to dip the tips of your brush into the cream a few times until the tips are loaded. Ive never tried swirling, but I think that would load too much cream on the brush, TOBS is not a hard or dense cream. The great thing about TOBS is that you don't need too much product!

I just bought a tub and it smells great in the tub, but the smell of the lather isn't that noticeable. The Jermyn Street though has a great strong smell.

Sounds as though it's ok, it's not like it doesn't smell (and lovely scent it is!), but I was (for some reason) expecting it to be a bit stronger, perhaps as it's used and the initial layer(s) are removed it'll increase slightly, and i'll change my brush loading practice!! It did make a fantastic lather!

Probably correlates with what I've got, but, conversely, I find the lather does still smell nice. And Jermyn Street is also on my list to try! (Actually quite a few TOBS products are!! :001_smile)

Many thanks to replies.

I just gave it a quick sniff, just to see...:001_rolle, and actually it already does smell stronger...! Perhaps the top layer dried slightly and sealed in the freshness :001_smile!
