Creams in a tube and face lathering?

So I've taken a liking to face lathering for its time saving and great prep properties, however I have a coup,e creams in tubes and not sure how I could use them with face lathering?

I was thinking I could just put my dollop on the end of the brush then lather away? Or smear the small amount on my face then lather? Any personal experiences or opinions welcome!

Either would work. Personally I smear the cream on my face then lather away, it works really well.

Both work, for me personally rubbing it on my face works just a little faster and better. Or you can squeeze the tube into a small container and just dip your brush into it as I often do with tubes.

I just smear on my face, wipe the excess from my fingers on to the brush and then get to work.

For quickness I now squirt about an inch of cream onto each cheek and go straight to it with the brush.

I put the cream straight on my face. I just put a small amount on my fingers and then rub it around my face with my index and middle finger. Then I grab the brush and work it for about a minute and it's good to go.

I still like to lather my tube cream in the palm of my hand, just squeeze what I want into the palm and then have at it. If I use cream from a pot then for some reason I tend to head right to the face.

I squirt the cream into the top of my wet brush and then lather away on my face. I like the feeling of the warm water at the very beginning of face-lathering. I don't want to wait for it by first spreading the cream on my face with my fingers. But that's just my preference...

With tubes of cream I soak the brush to get it really wet, squirt a small amount into the breech of the brush, and then give the brush a light squeeze.

Try both and see what you like better. Personally I squeeze a bit on the end of my brush then start working.
