Cracking Up!

I had a nick the other day so took my alum block (Block D' Osma), I slid it out of the box and about a third of it fell away, back into the box!
It seems to be splitting into shards and is really not suitable for rubbiing on the face.

I stopped using it a while ago in favor of which hazel but it is still handy for nicks. I have alwys let it dry in the open before putting it back in its packet.

Has this happened to anyone and is there any way to re-form it or is a new one in order?

I have the same alum block and it's held together without trouble. I suspect you may need a new one, unless you could somehow flatten the shards into smooth surfaces you can use...
