Crabtree & Evelyn / L'Occitane Samples

Everyone,

I have a Crabtree & Evelyn and a L'Occitane store in the mall. Does anyone know if either of these stores have sample packs for sale in store? Or are you only able to get samples from their website?

Thanks!!!

They sell a Nomad travel kit for around $25 which includes small samples of their Nomad cream, body wash, edt, and ASB. That's the closest thing I've seen to a sampler I've seen. But I would not hesitate to purchase full pucks of whatever you were interested in. Both C&E and L'Occitane are top tier products. Just chose a scent you like and you're set.

There's a L'Occitane store at my local mall too, last time I went in I was told the Cade has been out of stock for months. :(

I've been looking at C&E and there's a place not too far from me. The Nomad line is what interests me as I have enough Sandalwood things.

L'Occitane in New Orleans has a few ASB samples. Next door at C&E, I asked for some cream samples, and they gave me ASB samples of Nomad, Sienna, and Sandalwood. I was kinda bummed.

That's good I've been looking for a decent Lime scented cream. eShave slightly let me down on that one. I just want something a bit stronger.

Our local L'Occitane did not have any samples of cream to give out so I brought in my own sample tub one day and convinced the gal to let me fill it up from the tester. Cade Shaving Cream is fantastic stuff!

I was told the same thing a couple months back, she even told me that they were also out of stock online. Very snooty attitude, not friendly, I guess that's what I get for entering such a store wearing cowboy boots and a camo hat. I went home and sure enough found it on their site, ordered the soap and the bowl.

Well I went to the mall.

Crabtree and Evelyn were generous and gave me one shave's worth of samples from the 4 shave creams that they had. I am looking forward to trying the lime one.

L'Occitane told me they were unable to give out samples. She was somewhat amusing, because she actually asked me why I would want to sample it? It's made in France, therefore I would love it and wouldn't have any issues with it. The funny thing is she was dead serious. Kind of made me chuckle.

Like I said I am grateful to have gotten the one shave samples from C&E, so I guess it was good to just ask.

When I asked the girl in L'Occitane about samples of the cream or soap, she looked at me like I was crazy. She said, "No we don't have any samples, but we have a small size of the Cade cream for sale." Upon looking at the tube she held, it was 2.5 oz... for $12! Ummm... no. Then she asked why I was interested in a sample. So I said, I really would just like to see how the cream or soap lathers before I commit to buying it. To which she replied, "Oh, if you want lather, we've got the foam right here."

:facep:

I have had poor experience with the local mall L'Occitane store. Bought one item, at regular price, as a gift and later tried to return it, totally unopened and unwrapped, after 45 days. Store would neither offer refund, credit or exchange. Store said the item was "one time item" and is no longer carried. I tried to appeal via email to the home office but got nowhere since they would not waiver from a 30 day return policy.

There are better options, IMHO.
