Colgate's stick container

[Sled Dog]

Picked up a Colgate's Shaving Stick container today.
Being a newbie...Im not really sure how to use it

Its made of very thin metal with a cardboard liner...is there modern sticks that would fit in this container?

I bought it because I thought it looked cool...will be a bonus if I can use it for its intended purpose

If not able to use for soap, perhaps a nice brush holder for travel?

That looks like a refill container. Still, you can store a stick in it. Any of the 28-29 mm sticks ought to be fine: modern Palmolive, for example.

No it doesnt...its basically an empty tube with the screw on lid.

I have an old Williams container that looks exactly like that. I use it for storing shave sticks while traveling. I've found that while Speick sticks fit exactly, Arko sticks are too large in circumference. It's pretty cool to travel with a vintage shave stick container.
