Col. Conk Bay Rum: Melt or Mill?

I want to conform a puck of Colonel Conk to a bowl. Is this a "melt it in" or a "mill it down" soap?

Indeed.
It is a melt& pour soap.

I actually do this on a regular basis.

Take the puck out of the package, place in the bowl(I assume heat safe)
put a pan on the stove with a little water(just enough to float the bowl with the soap in it) or if it is too heavy, put something on the bottom to keep the bowl off the bottom. Something sturdy, I happen to have a little steaming rack that fits perfect.

Simmer the bowl till the soap goes liquid.

Remove bowl and let cool.

Or, you could just toss it in the microwave and pour it that way.

Use 10 second bursts in the microwave as it heats up and melts quickly. Maybe 15-20 seconds for my microwave.

I just recently melted a puck of col. conk into a coffee mug. Just threw the puck in, a few short bursts in the microwave, and into the fridge overnight. Very easy to do.

I was going to melt up some of the Colonel's amber soap tonight. Anyone have suggestions for what I could melt into it?
