Cleaning old plastic cases

Anyone have any tips for cleaning old plastic cases for the Gillette Adjustables?
I've tried every cleaning product I can find, including the usual favourites around here.
I don't mind them being a little dirty and scuffed, they are 50+ years old after all, but one has a nasty stain that I'd like to see go.

any ideas?

Toothpaste works well as it's a mild abrasive !

Clean them well with hot soapy water, then slowly and carefully buff them up with Flitz and soft terry cloth.
You'd be amazed what you can acheive with a little elbow grease and some Flitz.

You can also use auto car wax/polish to polish scratches out of cases. I always Meguiars (sp?) Professional (available at most nice auto parts/paint stores. They have different choices based on how much grit you want, from heavy cutters all the way to pure carnuba.

What I use on clear plastic is Megiuar's mirror glaze. You can use the stuff for a lot of different things. Hazed over headlights, scratched CD's/DVD's and the such works good.
