Classic Cobra Razor aggressiveness vs Merkur Futur

Does somebody know how Classic Cobra razor fares in term of aggressiveness (especially compared with Futur/Feather combination). I use Futur with Feather blade usually on setting 3 and it's near the top on the chart. Is Cobra Classic even more aggressive ?

I don't find the futur aggressive even at 6.5.

I here that cobra classic is extremely aggressive. It is expensive and uses special feather blades that are very expensive originally made for their shavette style razors. The few that have tried this razor say it is a beast. Part of it is due to the extra length of the blade compared to a DE blade.

I am somewhat surprised to hear that you think Futur is not aggressive. It's at the top of the chart according to gap width measurement and it's (almost) universal opinion of people who use it and compared it with other razors.

What DE you think is more aggressive then Futur (except of Slant which is a different beast altogether) ?

I use the Progress on 12 and I also use a slant. The slant requires feathers to get the same job done that the Progress does on 12 with inferior blades.

I have it at 3 for WTG/ATG passes, and at 1 for ATG on the upper lip.

I find the Futur is all about angles. Yes the blade gap is very large, but if you use the right angle it is actually quite mild. Unfortunately because the blade gap is very large, if you use the wrong angle, the thing will cut you to pieces.

I use my Futur set to 2.

I call it angle control. The ability to hold the correct angle on highly aggressive settings.
