I wish we treated suppressors like they do in Europe, as a safety device like ear muffs - nothing special to buy.

Where in Europe is that? Gun laws here are much more restrictive than in the States, well over here in England guns are forbidden almost entirely

I can see if I can find the article on suppressors that mentioned it. I talked to one guy whose Greek father in law was detained when he came to the US for a hunting trip because his rifle had a suppressor. In other areas they are encouraged to control noise levels at ranges. On another forum a guy in Finland used to make us drool with his sub gun purchases straight from the govt, so like here, laws vary with location. I really feel sorry for you Brits.
