Chubby vs Churn

Here are my latest two toys. The Milk Churn was a pleasant surprise. I just got it because I like the handle, but the knot turned out to be an excellent lather maker and spreader. The handle is just as comfortable to hold as I imagined it would be. The whole brush is just a pleasure to hold and use. If you like long handles and you've ever pondered getting a Milk Churn, I highly recommend it. My Churn will be in regular use. The Chub on the other hand is more of a novelty for me. It's just not practical for everyday use. It takes too long to load and too long to clean. But it'll be fun to play with on an occasional weekend, and it scratched my Chubby itch.

I forgot to mention that the performance of the Churn is real similar to my Duke 3. It's kind of like having a Duke 3 in a longer handle. The specs of the two aren't much different, and though the Duke is noticeably denser, the difference isn't huge. The Churn definitely doesn't leave you feeling like you're short-changed on hair, and that handle is downright fun to hold. Actual specs of my two brushes according to Jarrod's Superior Shave are 22 x 48.5 (Churn) and 24.25 x 49.5 (Duke). What's a millimeter or two between friends?

The Milk Churn was the only Simpson I desired, after a two year resistance, I bought one last year and absolutely love it. I purchased mine from Superior as well because you can look at the actual knot prior to purchase. I've had no problems with shedding, probably lost ~6-10 hairs the first 4-5 lathers that was about it.
