Check out my new Barbasol floating head razor!

Well it's snowing like crazy up here in Maine but I had a nice treat waiting for me in my mailbox. I received this bad boy today and I'm looking forward to giving it a test run.

It has original plating and looks like it's nearly new. I like aggressive razors and this Barbasol has a reputation of requiring respect, if you disrespect the Barb you get bit!

I'm hoping I can find the box for it at some point.

I found this particular razor in an antique shop, the seller didn't let it go for cheap but he had this and a few other razors. All the other razors were in terrible condition, had some old Gillettes but they really weren't in useable shape.

This was his gem. I like that it's nice and heavy, I prefer a heavy razor.

I need to shave today but I've only used my new iKon OC deluxe once so that's getting the attention today. I'll try this one out next.

I've been handling it today and its weight is really well balanced.

Very sweet indeed, I got mine few years ago on the Bay for 150 bucks, one of the best razors i bought. I do own a Toggle, Titan/r1, Fatboy, Stahly, Streamline SE, and a Joris, but the Barby Floating head is on my All-Star line up too.
