Earlier this month I bought Musgo Real pre-shave oil and MR GLO, to try them and get to know them. They made me improve my pre-shave technique lessening the tugging and my shaving comfort increased.
Some days ago shopping downtown I came across this soap, made by a Portuguese factory as a bigbox supermarket branded soap. What really caught my attention was the ingredients list:
tallow (sodium tallowate)
coconut oil (sodium cocoate)
glycerin
castor oil (sodium ricinoleate)
olive oil (olea europaea fruit oil)
All in one soap, costing only 0,44. Today was the second shave with this pre-shave soap and so far seems fairly comparable to MR GLO as a beard softener. Interesting thing, the validity is only until 01/2015, meaning it has a shelf life of 24 months before it goes rot.
I'll keep using MR PSO, MR GLO and this soap until they end but if the performance is similar I think I found a good cheap pre-shave and body soap.
As a side note, the thicker pre-shave oil isn't messy if I use only one hand to rub it on my face, and powder with talcum powder the oily hand before washing. The NOT long lasting peppermint and menthol scent from this shave oil has earn a spot in my den.
