CB I Hate Perfume

Good Evening Gents,

Recently i discovered this line of scents "CB I hate Perfume" at a local store and was amazed by the samplers i smelled, very unique and fresh. They smell more like "themes" for lack of a better word. some of my favorites included:
  • Lavender Tea: "rich blend of lavender, black indian tea, a few warm woods and a subtle touch of Indonesian patchouli"
  • 7 billion hearts: a pure vanilla scent
  • winter 1972: smells like shoveled snow, its kind of odd.

There was some other very intriguing scents that literally smell like their name:
  • Burning leaves
  • in the summer kitchen
  • In the library - smells like books... kinda

I personally am having a very hard time deciding on an initial set despite me smelling many samples. Im curious if any of you guys have had experience with this brand and or have any favorites in particular?

Thank you for your time

Talal

I like "At the Beach 1966" a whole lot.

Am fairly indifferent to anything else I have sampled from this house, which is not a whole lot, except "Burning Leaves," which I really dislike as anything to wear. I like to read what this scentmaker has written on his site. There may be other of his scents I would like if I tried them. I do not want this post to be read as a dis!

ahh i see, they are all quite short lived then eh?

There's the Perfume Waters, which last 15 minutes tops, sometimes less, and there's the Absolutes, which do better, but still fade very quickly. I exaggerated slightly, but the absolutes still only last about 2 hours on me.

thank you all for the comments. the water ones are the ones i am interested in in this case so its good to know..

ill have to check out mr hulots holiday i dont believe it was available at the retail location!

Ive wanted to pick this house up for some time, but The Chandos pretty much stated the reason I havent. THe longevity of the frag vs cost has kept me away.

the 7 billion hearts is their "premium " scent costing almost twice as much as a regular water scent..

Was a little too sweet for my liking

I got a sample of Black March as part of a sample pack when I first started exploring frags a few years ago. It was really interesting and pleasant, but probably too offbeat for me at the time. I would love to try it now, as well as some others by them.

Re longevity, everyone's skin is different. If your skin is dry, the scents won't last as long.

My skin isn't oily by any means, but a tiny dab of his Tea/Rose absolute lasts forever on me. The absolutes are oil-based so they evaporate very slowly.

I actually like some of his scents very much. Tea/Rose is a favorite (black tea & roses), along with In the Library & Russian Caravan tea. I've never tried the water-based perfumes; I imagine they'd fade pretty quickly.

yea was a very pure vanilla scent for sure but i couldnt stand it for more than a few minutes
