I've been growing my own Carolina Reapers for a few years now. They remain my favorite superhot chili. I used half of one in some homemade steak chili the other day. Great heat and flavor. Here's a recent pic.
Whiteflies attacked several of my plants, but I took care of those suckers.I planted some this year but they didn’t take. We had a hot sauce expo here and I stocked up on some Puckerbutt sauces.
You are wise, my friend.I got a single pepper from a friend yesterday. I don't plan on eating it before my flight today
Yes, that combination does not sound like a good idea at all.Guys at the station showed me a video of a youtuber drinking fireball whiskey and eating Carolina reapers, I laughed till I cried and decided they would have to be incorporated in a sauce or dish before I will try one .....
I love habaneros. Bhut Jolokia have great flavor, but a looooot of heat for me, and have to be used sparingly in dishes.I can do habeñeros, but I think reapers may be a bridge too far for me.
No, but I do wear rubber gloves. So, do you wear goggles when you chop this thing up?
That would be great! The next time I talk to him I'll get the run down and see if he'll send me his recipes.
No beans, of course.I used half of one in some homemade steak chili the other day.
That would be great!
Thanks very much!I just sent him an email. I'll post back when he replies.
The first time I made my habanero sauce I didn’t wear gloves. My hands burned for 8 hours. No, but I do wear rubber gloves.
