Care products for new boots.

Can anyone recommend some care products for my new boots. Chippewa Apache 8in.

I actually wanted the 6in but I found these for $79.00 on clearance(yes they are made in America) so I had to get them. This is my first pair of nice boots so I'm not really sure what to buy to maintain them. Was probably going to pick up some mink oil.

They still have some available if anyone looking for a good deal on some Chippewa boots:

Have seen this product recommended too many times on here. Just bought some for some Red Wings that need some protection.

Naturally, they are out of stock in my size.

The thing I love about Red Wings is taking mine in once a month to be oiled and have new laces installed for free.

I appreciate this benefit as well, but that means I actually have to make time to get over the the local store. With a wife and two young children, it's easier just to polish them up at home.

I got the big bottle of Red Wing Boot Oil and just do it myself at home. If I go into the Red Wing store I'm liable to leave with more boots.

For the OP: I've actually got a pair of those Chippewas in 6" and love them. I use the Nikwax in the tin (already had it), but Obenaufs is the way to go if you're buying stuff.

I wear Red Wing 8" Loggers on a daily basis and have always used their boot oil. I will have to give Obenauf"s a try. Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Ill have to pick up some Obenauf's. Is it something you would apply right away or wait a while...wear them around a bit.

I'd go ahead and start using it. That way they are treated before they have a chance to get dirty.
