What's new

Can't skip the daily shave without severe set-backs.

Well, the title basically says it all.
If I skip my daily shave, even once,
I immediately begin to have skin problems.

For instance; I believe that the only exfoliation
my skin receives is through shaving and, as a result,
dry/dead skin tends build up on my cheeks and neck.
Also, skipping that day starts a chain reaction of
difficulties and irritations that take days to recover from but,
once I get back on track, I'm totally fine as long as I
don't miss a day.

Of course shaving every day is not a problem because,
I generally have truly excellent and enjoyable results.
Its just annoying not having any freedom. :biggrin1:

Any body else have this problem?

I find that if I skip a day it does seem to throw things off a bit but not in terms of skin care or anything like that. It's more like I feel less prepared to handle whatever is going to happen that day and maybe a bit less motivated. Therefore, I rarely skip on a work day.

Maybe if it is just exfoliation you face needs, just try scrubbing your face with a shave brush (a boar since it is scritchier) and see what happens. Of course that would be a waste of lather but you could use a regular body soap instead of a shave soap or a cream. But maybe it's a combination of exfoliation and shave that helps your skin.

I fully agree. I am convinced that the combination of face
lathering and shaving is extremely beneficial for my skin.
