Canoe

Does anyone else think this smells similar (if not pretty much the same as Brut?)

I have just received a PIF of this (full bottle too), opened it and had a little splash to see what i thought. First impressions were that it at least reminded me of Brut, if not smelt exactly like it.

Thoughts?

I get much more "clubman" from Canoe

I have heard the "Clubman" thing before, but i have never smelt it so wouldn't be able to make the correlation.

I agree that it smells exactly like Clubman. Brut seems like an entirely different fragrance.

Sorry I have wore all 3 over the past 30 + years and it smells like
canoe to me and the wife.

Smells like Canoe, IMO.

Brut shares some of the family traits, certainly, but it dries down differently...a sort of murky/funky basenote.

Canoe/Clubman seems a simpler, one-note frag.

canoe is very similar to clubman in that barbershop scent. i think the canoe is a bit sweeter while the clubman is more dry like a talc powder.
