Can you replate it?

Hi fellows!
A couple of weeks ago I discovered that I'm a LOSER.
Now I'm looking to upgrade what I got and after some searching I came across with some acceptable priced SE razors. The question here is (as the title shows) if I can replate this razors and if any of this need any special blade or they take the regular SE blades that you can find easily.

Thanks guys!!

I'm asking cause I don't know the materials this razor's were made and they all appeal to me (but I can't afford all of them right now).
Thanks

To be honest with you I am not a re-plater, but I have seen the GEM 1912 and Micro-Matic razors completely re-plated (most of them are completely solid brass). There are a few members here that do re-plating and hopefully they will chime in.

Hey There, Yes All Those Vintage SE's Can Be Plated~~ Looks To Be Mostly Brass.. The Micromatic's Are A Little Troublesome Because Of The
Zinc Diecast... But Can Be Plated As Well.. Nice Find There On A Few Classic's Pieces

Just my personal opinion and this could be very location specific, but I wouldn't bother. The cost of replating would far exceed the price of few of these. They float by on the BST and the internet all of the time in good condition. Just be patient, wait for nice looking ones.

I think replating only makes cost sense if you pick up a razor for a couple of bucks and it's somewhat rare or you wish to change the characteristics ie gold plated to nickel.

But how it is in Chile, I honestly don't know the parameters.

+1 Agreed. Use these in good health and save your money for another cool razor, brush, soap, etc.

I feel that if you want to get one replated, go for it. It is possible to find some in fairly good condition, but that is no reason that you cant replate a razor that you really like. I have an EverReady 1912 that I am going to get replated once i have money I can put into it. It's a nice razor and It has become one of my favorites, so I see no reason not to pretty it up.
