Calani Shave Soap?

Following up (sort of) on this thread:

http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=75213

Has anyone had a chance to try the Calani soaps? I picked up a puck of the Havana and have absolutely fallen in love with it. I'm getting consistently excellent, lubricating lather from it, so much so that I have ditched all my creams and switched back to soaps.

Anyone else tried them? (I picked mine up from RoyalShave)

I tried the Havana and went crazy ordering the other types. Thet r excellent
I Just realized that I have the Dubai, and not the Havana. . . No matter. Great stuff.

What impresses me most with the Calani is that I barely have to swirl the brush atop the puck in order to build up enough soap. Well, 10 swirls or so.

Great. Just what I need more soap and a divorce.
Funny, I couldn't find "divorce" on the ingredients list . . . must be a special order . . .

By the way: the gorgeous soapmaker herself is very active in a German wetshaving forum, this is a translation of her own little corner:

Edit: I strongly recommend NOT to purchase ANYTHING from her. You'll end up ordering everything she has to offer and then some, lose your house, your family, ending up giggling like a maniac 24 / 7 because all you need in life are these wonderful soaps. Yes, they're that good!

Any pics of the gorgeous soap maker .?

The Dubai interests me most. Can anyone that has it say how prominent the citrus is in relation to the other scent components?

It was actually your thread that got me thinking about Calani . . . .

Being that my pride is not really in check today, i think i can brag just a tad; i believe i was the first on US soil to use her soaps

Awesome, thanks for the link!

She was really a lot of fun to work with on getting it shipped out to me. Great sense of humor and very helpful.

The citrus is not forward at all. Neither is sandalwood.

Oddly enough, it smells a touch flowery to me. Still love it tho.

Have heard so much about them that I've decided to order a couple myself. Among them is the Dubai, then there will be the Cadre Noir, the Lavender, the Simply Soap, the Purissima, ......

Gotta ditch the other ones in my Den. More room, must make...:tongue_sm
