Part of that gift box I received was fragrances. I've worn this one twice now and I have to say I quite like it. It's a confusing fragrance because at first smell it reminds me a little bit of a standard sporty fragrance, but then I noticed it has a spice to you. After smelling the sandalwood fragrance of Proraso I can now actually tell what Sandalwood is. There is a hint of it in the background, which I think is giving the fragrance some spice. It's not so sporty that it's bad, but it's almost more "nightclub" in the sense that it's a more casual night fragrance, but that sandalwood really makes it good. It is extremely fruity and earthy, and even during the dry down it keeps that scent (although it seems to get dryer in the sense that the sandalwood kicks in more). All in all, I didn't think I would like this one...but, wow...I'm loving it.
My one fear was that I'd fall in love with the colognes I was sent (Ferrari Uomo, Caesar's Man, and Monsieur Musk) and wouldn't be able to afford them later on, but these are all so inexpensive. A quick note (I will review this one later): Ferrari Uomo is very similar to Southern Blend.
I will be wearing this a lot, especially when it's not super cold out (and by super cold, I mean below forty). This one would work year round I think, and even as a formal fragrance (Las Vegas formal!). I have heard it's just like Drakkar Noir...I wouldn't know, but if it is, awesome!
