Funny coincidence! I just took delivery of a Vie-Long BGS Butterscotch horse hair brush today as well - 2 days from ordering to arrival as always!

I feel guilty. Should have said something weeks ago about Phil and your thread reminded me that notice was overdue. I bought the same beehive you just got as well as the dyed version in Ivory. They are two of my favorites. I mean, I just love those two brushes. Phil not only shipped them quickly, but the second of the two he shipped out to me even before he got it listed on his site. Which brings me to my most recent purchase.

I got the Czech & Speake soap from Phil and was really looking forward to the black bowl. When it arrived, it was a blond colored bowl. Phil shipped out a new black one and told me to just keep the one he sent. I've been buying online since 1998 and he is consistently one of the best folks with whom I've dealt. Great communication and service.

Thanks again Phil and I should have mentioned this sooner.

There was a time ... sigh ... when the world was a better place and more vendors/retailers in general were this way. Now, our 'evolved' world has 'devolved' into a sea of 'big-box' retailers, where quality selection is limited, expertise is suspect, and the joy of shopping has truly vanished. Sounds like my last 'shopping' experience at home depot! I spend two grand at the store and two of the three store sales help were not much help at all. I guess you cant expect much when the help is paid near minimum wage.

Dave, if you get a chance, please let us know what you think of the badger/horse beehive. I really wanted to try a badger/horse hybrid, but I loved the look of the butterscotch more.
Ravi, you hit the nail on the head!! I am thankful I can search on the internet (and here at B & B), and find customer service and quality products still do exist.
