Brushed Steel Texture

I'm wondering what the best method of adding an even brushed metal texture to a blade is. I'm trying to correct some imperfections in a Gold Dollar that just can't be sanded out. Any suggestions?

Can't remember what they are called, but I have a 3M "scotchbrite" like belt for my belt grinder that gives a great brushed finish. Available at USA knifemakers.

I used a 120 grit w/d and it was okay.. Not the best, but I was wondering if the scotch brite needed vertical only motions...

Well, I figured it out. It took a Dremel with a sanding drum, a piece of 320 grit sandpaper, and a wine cork as a sanding block. Every stroke was in the same direction. Here's the result.

The way the light hits it makes it difficult to get a 100% clear shot. But, here is a better version.
