Brush: Shavemac "Kleiner Bayer" Silvertip D01 2-Band 14/42
Soap: Grooming Dept Pura
Razor: Blackland SS Blackbird OC on custom olive wood handle
Blade: Gillette 7o'clock Black (4)
ASL: Caffè Latte [home brew]

A superb shave.
I've definitely enjoyed my time with the "Superior cuts" OC (3D printed) razor, but it's great to be back with my Grail Razor. :w00t:

This was my first time using Pura (or any Grooming Dept soap). The soap base is excellent but the natural aroma of this unscented version is the strongest (of any unscented shaving soap) that I've come across. It smells like sickly sweet honey. I wasn't too pleased about that, but fortunately, my highly fragranced Caffè Latte ASL killed it off post-shave.

Happy shaves guys. :cornut:

Soap: Grooming Dept Pura
Razor: 1939 Gillette NEW RFB on custom olive wood handle
Blade: Gillette 7o'clock Black (5)
ASL: Caffè Latte [home brew]

An excellent shave.

This great team demolished my four-day mini-beard effortlessly. The sickly-sweet honey aroma of the "scent-free" Pura was a little off-putting again, but the soap itself is fab. Once again, post-shave, my highly fragranced Caffè Latte ASL killed off the Pura "aroma."

Soap: Phoenix Atomic Age Bay Rum
Razor: Yaqi Duomo (7)
Blade: Feather (2)
ASL: Clubman VIBR

An excellent shave.

That's my seven-shave trial of the Yaqi Duomo done. It's definitely a fine razor and leaves all my Fatips in the dust. Next shave I'll try it with one of my lightweight handles (not sure which one yet).

That was fantastic. The lightweight GT handle improved precision and handling (versus the OE handle). :w00t:

This unbranded flat head single ring knockoff turns out to be my favorite razor so far - when shaving with a Gillette three hole blade.

It beats thin cap Old Types (Single Ring, ABC razors) by a decent margin and New Improved razors by a quite significant margin.

The stout three hole blade doesn't need a bend to add rigidity. It cuts (after edge restoration a century later) best when presented as perpendicular as possible to the stubble.

I now understand why old Gillette sets sometimes come with many used blades. They can be re-honed.
